 Mrs. Jeanene Burris, Assistant Principal

I am so excited to be joining the Robert L. Patton High School family this year as an assistant principal and will mainly be responsible for curriculum, scheduling, and testing.  I am proud to say that I am a product of Burke County Public Schools.  After being graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in English education, I taught English and Latin at West Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem.  I took a hiatus from teaching for a total of seventeen years to raise my four daughters: Cindy, Jenny, Jane, and Marianne.  In 2015, I received my M.S.A. from Appalachian State University.  In addition to my role as an administrator, I have served Burke County Public Schools as an English and Latin instructor at the middle and high school levels, as an ELA instructional coach at the middle school level, and as an EL instructor at the elementary level. Outside of the district, I have participated in the North Carolina State Network of Educators (NCSNE), the Governor’s Teacher Network (GTN), and the North Carolina Digital Leaders Coaching Network (NCDLCN).  Again, I am thrilled to be joining the PANTHER NATION!
